Grateful

So, Thanksgiving is a holiday that I usually spend a lot of time anticipating. I plan menus and think about what I'm grateful for and just really enjoy this part of the holiday season. This year, however, there's been so much Other Stuff happening that Thanksgiving decided to lay in wait and ambush me in a surprise attack. (To the point that I literally used the very last of my sugar, the very last of my shortening, the very last of my milk, and the very last of my honey preparing my contributions for yesterday's Thanksgiving meal). Seriously, One day it was the beginning of November, and then the next it was Thanksgiving.

I have a LOT to be grateful for though, this year especially so it was nice to have a minute in the middle of all the Other Stuff to think about the good stuff. Like:
  • All the amazing people I know.
  • Faith
  • Life lessons about choosing
  • Opportunities to serve
  • A great job
  • Being debt free
  • All of the awesome travel opportunities I've had in the last few years
  • My library's e-lending for the Kindle.
  • Learning to cook and eat like a foodie
  • Key West
And on and on and on. I have a rich life full of meaningful relationships, and it's nice to sit down and think about that for a while.
