December

Dear December,

Listen, you and I have historically been on pretty good terms -- I have no reason to doubt that this year will be any exception, but just for the record, I have a few requests. I will enumerate them below:

1.) It would be great if you could make the next 20 days go by fairly quickly. I don't mean they have to be a faster than light blur of days, but just faster rather than slower

2.) To make up for that, I would be totally fine with the 22nd to the 26th going by very slowly. I'm going to be with my honey in Panama, you see, and we don't get to see each other that much, so if you could make those days last longer, that would be great.

3.) You were kind of pushing your luck with the 65 degrees today. If at all possible, please maintain an average temperature of about 70. Thanks!

4.) I know I said that I wanted the next 20 days to go by fast, but I also have a lot to do during those 20 days, so if you could just work around that, that would be great.

5.) December, you've not been historically kind to my bank account. Do you think this year you could go a little easy on it? I've got big plans for next year, and they are going to require some cash, so on behalf of my pocket book, please be nice.

6.) You know what I want for Christmas. It would be really nice if I could get it.

And that's probably all for now. I don't think that's asking too much, is it?

Sincerely,

Jules Q. Lindgren
